Parking and MyCiTi details for Stormers vs Bulls

The DHL Stormers are in action against the Vodacom Bulls in the United Rugby Championship at DHL Stadium on Saturday, 8 February 2025. The City would like to advise spectators on parking arrangements and other logistics for game day.

The DHL Stormers will run out in front of over 45 000 spectators for the biggest rivalry in South African rugby.
It will be the home team’s last game in Cape Town for the next two months.

After the Bulls game, the Stormers will play a series of away games before their return to DHL Stadium against Irish side, Connacht on 19 April.

The upcoming derby against northern rivals, the Bulls, presents an opportunity for the Stormers to climb the log.

Gates at DHL Stadium will open at 11:00 with the match scheduled for a 14:00 kick off.

‘To ensure a smooth arrival, we advise spectators to come early and avoid a last-minute rush. A free MyCiTi shuttle service will be available for ticket holders on game day to transport spectators to the stadium. Due to limited parking in Green Point, we recommend parking in the CBD and either using the shuttle or walking via the Fan Walk to the stadium. Our Safety and Security teams will be deployed in and around the stadium to support a seamless, safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. We call on the Faithful to come in their numbers and show support to the Stormers for this important South African derby,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, Alderman JP Smith.

A free MyCiTi shuttle service will take spectators to the stadium from the Civic Centre, Thibault Square and the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).

This is only available to ticket holders.

The shuttle service will start operating from 10:30 from the Civic Centre, Thibault Square and the CTICC. The last bus will leave the stadium and the Green Point Precinct at 18:00.

At the CTICC, the shuttle will operate from the City Sightseeing bus stop near Entrance 3 on Walter Sisulu Avenue.
Approximately 1 000 parking bays are available at the CTICC at a cost. The parking is open from 10:00 and online booking is available to secure a spot.

For those taking the bus, the City of Cape Town will open up its parking areas for ticket holders from 10:00.
The parking bays, accessible from Hertzog Boulevard incoming and on Civic Road, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Paid parking is also available at the CTICC, Parkalot on Jack Craig Street and at the Harbour Arch on Harbour Arch Boulevard.
